The youth group, which has active representation across the 18 Local Government Areas and 33 Local Council Development Areas of the state, applauded Chief Adeleye for his steadfast commitment to innovative and community-based security strategies that have strengthened peace and stability across the Sunshine State.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Media of the group, Alli Oluwasanmi (Benbella), the Amotekun Corps has become a model of effective local security through its proactive intelligence framework and collaboration with other stakeholders. The group noted that the corps’ partnership with youth organizations and community leaders has played a vital role in preventing crime and promoting public safety.
While restating their readiness to continue supporting the agency’s security initiatives, the Ambassadors condemned the actions of a few erring officers allegedly involved in misconduct and urged the corps leadership to ensure that justice takes its full course.
They also dismissed alleged smear campaigns against the security outfit, insisting that such attempts cannot diminish the credibility and accomplishments of Amotekun under Chief Adeleye’s watch.
The statement reads:
PRESS STATEMENT
ONDO STATE AMOTEKUN YOUTH AMBASSADORS PASS ABSOLUTE VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN THE ONDO STATE AMOTEKUN CORPS UNDER THE STEADFAST LEADERSHIP OF CHIEF AKOGUN ADETUNJI ADELEYE
October 31, 2025 – Akure, Ondo State
The Amotekun Youth Ambassadors, a vibrant network of dedicated young patriots spanning the 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 33 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Ondo State, rise today with profound gratitude and unyielding solidarity for the Ondo State Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps. Under the resolute leadership of Chief Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the State Commandant. Amotekun has emerged as a beacon of hope, transforming our beloved Sunshine State into a fortress of peace and progress against the bedrock of enemies of our collective security.
We commend the Commandant's commitment to innovative security strategies that has justified the creation of the corps. A testament to this is the collaborative initiative with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Youth Empowerment, through which essential communication devices—smartphones—were distributed to frontline youth Ambassadors. This pivotal intervention has supercharged the "See Something, Say Something" operation, enabling swift reporting and real-time intelligence that has thwarted threats before they escalate.
Equally praiseworthy is Amotekun's robust intelligence-gathering mechanism, which has revolutionized community policing. By fostering trust and collaboration between citizens and security personnel, this framework has not only dismantled criminal networks but also restored serenity to our farmlands, highways, and neighborhoods—proving once again that proactive vigilance is the cornerstone of enduring safety. The implementation of stakeholders security engagement across the three senatorial district emphasis commitment to duty.
As ambassadors of this noble cause, we restate our unwavering resolve to galvanize every segment of society toward maximum security. In Ondo State, security is not the preserve of any one entity; it is everybody's sacred business. From the bustling markets of Akure to the serene groves of Irele LGA, our youth stand ready to amplify Amotekun's efforts, mobilizing resources, awareness, and action to safeguard our collective future.
Yet, we must voice our collective outrage at the actions of a few bad eggs within our ranks—corps members who have betrayed the trust vested in them and are now suspended and at large. Of particular concern is one Officer Adan, whose involvement in a grave criminal matter, uncovered through our own intelligence networks, demands immediate accountability. We urge the Amotekun leadership to activate every surveillance tool at its disposal to apprehend these fugitives without delay, ensuring they face the full weight of justice. Such betrayals tarnish the uniform we all cherish, and no leniency can be afforded to those who undermine the very peace they swore to protect.
We reiterate with emphatic clarity: No amount of orchestrated blackmail or insidious campaigns against the Ondo State Security Network—Amotekun—shall prevail. These desperate ploys by agents of chaos will crumble under the weight of truth, unity, and the unassailable record of Amotekun's triumphs. Amotekun has definitively silenced critics and exceeded expectations.
In light of these realities, the Amotekun Youth Ambassadors across Ondo State pass an absolute vote of confidence in the Ondo State Amotekun Corps and its exemplary leadership under Chief Akogun Adetunji Adeleye. Your dedication inspires us, your courage fortifies us, and your vision secures us. Together, we shall continue to build an Ondo State where fear is a relic of the past, and prosperity blooms for all.
