With Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s Comeback Story is Not Complete, But It is Firmly on Course - Progressives Network for Tinubu, (PNT) Ondo State

Nigeria today stands on the path of renewal, with the signs of a nation regaining its strength becoming more evident each day. The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown resilience, courage, and commitment in navigating one of the most challenging phases of Nigeria’s democratic journey. Though the comeback story is not yet complete, there is no doubt it is firmly on track, with foundations being laid for a future of prosperity, unity, and growth.

From the outset, President Tinubu’s administration has taken bold steps to reposition Nigeria’s economy, governance, and institutions. His decision to implement difficult but necessary reforms, particularly in the energy and foreign exchange sectors, signaled a leadership ready to tackle long-standing structural challenges. These policies, though demanding, are opening up opportunities for long-term stability, renewed investor confidence, and economic diversification.

A clear example of progress can be seen in the Ministry of Interior under Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, where reforms have transformed service delivery for citizens. Within weeks of his inauguration, over 203,000 outstanding passport applications were cleared, restoring faith in government processes. New centralised passport production centres have been introduced, drastically cutting waiting times and raising production capacity. These reforms reflect the broader spirit of efficiency and accountability driving the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Infrastructure has also remained central to the administration’s focus, with renewed attention on strategic projects that will transform Nigeria’s economy. The Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, one of the most ambitious road projects in Africa, is a clear demonstration of this vision, promising to unlock trade, tourism, and connectivity across multiple states. Rail modernisation continues to advance, with progress on the Lagos–Kano standard gauge and other priority corridors, while road rehabilitation and expansion across the federation are helping to connect communities and boost commerce.

Agriculture and food security remain a key priority. By supporting farmers with access to credit, mechanised inputs, and improved market systems, the government is empowering local producers to increase yields, reduce dependence on imports, and ensure stable food supplies for Nigerian households. These policies not only aim to strengthen the rural economy but also to stabilise prices and guarantee affordable access to food for millions.

In energy, reforms are opening up opportunities in gas utilisation and renewable energy, with investments being directed toward sustainable power generation. By addressing structural bottlenecks in the sector, the government is laying the groundwork for reliable electricity — a critical driver of industrial growth, digital innovation, and job creation.

The administration has also shown a people-centered approach through policies targeting education, youth empowerment, and social inclusion. The Student Loan Act has opened the doors of higher education to thousands who might otherwise have been excluded due to financial barriers. Social programs are being expanded to cushion vulnerable families, ensuring that development reaches those most in need.

Security, a pillar of development, is receiving sustained attention. With investments in modern equipment, enhanced training, and improved welfare for security personnel, progress is being made in tackling banditry, insurgency, and other forms of criminality. Though challenges remain, the government’s commitment to securing lives and property is evident in the gradual improvement of safety in many communities.

The Progressives Network for Tinubu in Ondo State recognises these achievements as evidence that Nigeria’s renewal is not just a promise but a reality in progress. For the Network, President Tinubu’s leadership reflects courage, foresight, and an unwavering commitment to national transformation. The group maintains that Nigerians can look toward the future with confidence, knowing that the groundwork is being laid for a stronger, more prosperous nation.

As Nigerians reflect on the journey so far, one truth stands out clearly: the foundation for renewal has been laid with vision and determination. The challenges of the past are giving way to opportunities of the present, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow is within reach. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s comeback story is alive and gathering momentum. With unity, resilience, and continuity of leadership, the nation is set to complete this journey and secure a future of prosperity for all.
