Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade Celebrates Nigeria at 65, Calls for Unity and Renewal

As Nigeria commemorates 65 years of independence, Hon. Tomisin Edu Falade, Chief Executive Officer of TEF Foundation a leading aspirant for the House of Representatives, Akure North/South Federal Constituency (2027), has called on citizens to embrace unity, patriotism, and innovation as the nation charts a path toward renewal.

In her Independence message, Hon. Edu Falade hailed the resilience of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, describing the 65th anniversary as both a moment of reflection and a call to action. She underscored that true independence cannot be measured by years alone but by the opportunities, dignity, and quality of life available to all citizens.

Positioning herself as both a humanitarian and advocate for inclusive development, she stressed that Nigeria’s future depends on the collective resolve of its people, particularly the younger generation, to rise above division and contribute to nation-building. She expressed confidence that with shared purpose and commitment to service, Nigeria would not only overcome its present challenges but also assume its rightful place as a beacon of hope and progress in the global community.

The statement reads:

HON. TOMISIN EDU FALADE CELEBRATES NIGERIA AT 65: A FUTURE BUILT ON HOPE AND SERVICE

“Sixty-five years after independence, Nigeria stands as a nation of remarkable spirit and potential. Our story is not without its trials, yet it is defined by the courage of a people who continue to rise with faith in tomorrow.

Independence must be measured not only by the passing of years, but by the quality of life, opportunities, and dignity afforded to every citizen. True freedom is not complete until every child can dream without fear, every youth can create without limitation, and every family can live with dignity. This is the charge before us as a nation.

At 65, Nigeria must choose the path of renewal — a path where service replaces self-interest, where justice strengthens peace, and where every voice matters in shaping the destiny we all share.

With a shared sense of purpose and unwavering commitment to nationhood, I am confident that Nigeria will not only overcome its present challenges but also assume its rightful place as a model of hope and progress in the global community.”
