The Lucky Guys T.L.G, an influential grassroots support group that played a key role in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s success at both the party primaries and the general election, urged the prompt nomination of a commissioner from Akure North who embodies loyalty, competence, and a clear commitment to both the group and the state administration’s vision.
The group noted that while the delay in appointing a commissioner from the area is evident, it could ultimately prove beneficial if it results in the emergence of a genuinely supportive and deserving representative. They emphasized the importance of rewarding true loyalty and cautioned against selecting individuals whose allegiance during the party primaries was questionable.
Reaffirming their unwavering support for the governor’s leadership, TLG expressed optimism that Akure North would soon be duly and honorably represented in the cabinet.
The statement reads:
AKURE NORTH TLG THANKS 18 PROMAX GOVERNOR
We, the members of The Lucky Guys (TLG) in Akure North, proudly join the multitude of right-thinking, energetic, and purpose-driven youths to express our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the successful inauguration of TLG in Ondo State, an initiative geared towards grassroots mobilization for Asiwaju Datiwa '27.
In the spirit of this appreciation, we humbly appeal to His Excellency to consider appointing a commissioner from Akure North who will be 100% loyal to the task ahead. We strongly believe that the delay in nominating our constituency’s representative for the commissionership position will ultimately serve as a blessing in disguise for the entire TLG family in Akure North.
It would greatly gladden the hearts of not only TLG members but also all loyal party faithfuls in Akure North to witness the swearing-in of our commissioner alongside others across the state in the nearest future.
It is important to respectfully remind His Excellency that anyone who collected benefits from multiple aspirants during the last governorship primaries cannot now lay claim to genuine loyalty. We were present and active before, during, and after both the party primaries and the general election. We know those who stood firm and those who worked against the collective victory.
We boldly declare, “Our ease has come,” provided a true and dedicated commissioner is appointed, one who will solidify and sustain the legacy of Governor Aiyedatiwa in Akure North.
Once again, we extend our gratitude and eagerly look forward to your prompt nomination of a fitting commissioner for Akure North.
Long live TLG!
Long live Ondo State!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
