In a statement released by his media team and made available to The Spotlight, Prince Azeez clarified that he has not declared any intention to run for office and was not involved in the creation or circulation of the poster. "Although he possesses the requisite qualifications and holds a genuine passion for serving his community, Prince Azeez has not made any official declaration to contest any political position at this time," the statement read.
The media team emphasized Prince Azeez’s commitment to the principles of due process, transparency, and the rule of law, affirming that any future political decisions or declarations would be made publicly and through the appropriate channels in line with Nigeria’s electoral guidelines.
Members of the public were therefore advised to disregard the unauthorized poster and await any formal communication that may emerge in the future.

We have become aware of a political poster that is currently being shared on social media, claiming that Prince Azeez Momoh Ricardo is a candidate for the House of Representatives for the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency in Ondo State.
We want to make it clear that Mr. Azeez Adeyemi Momoh Ricardo is not connected to this publication and does not accept responsibility for it. Although he meets all the necessary qualifications and has the right to seek to serve his community, he has not formally declared his candidacy, and the pre-election process has not started as prescribed by electoral regulations.
Prince Azeez is dedicated to upholding due process and the democratic principles of transparency, accountability, and respect for the rule of law. Any official announcement regarding his political intentions will be made through the proper channels when the time is right.
We therefore encourage the public to disregard the aforementioned poster, as it is unauthorized and premature.
