Theodore Roosevelt, one of the greatest American philosophers, once said that the "measure of life is not in its duration but in its donation." From the above statement, one can assert that age has nothing to do with one's personal accomplishments and contributions toward the upliftment of human and societal development.
The above narration can be well said of our amiable star boy, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. With the performance of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo over the years as an Honorable Member of the House of Representatives, representing Akoko North Federal Constituency, and now as a Federal Minister in the progressive government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he has broken many grounds in the Ministry of Interior in line with President Tinubu's renewal hope agenda.
Thus, it is worthy to note and mention that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, during his term in the Federal House of Representatives, facilitated and delivered many dividends of democracy to people not only in our Federal Constituency but across Ondo State and Nigeria at large. In his passion to uplift the face of our Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo facilitated the construction of several major roads, among which are the Ikaram-Akunnu Road, Oyinmo-Igbede Bypass, Ugbe Arigidi Link Road, and Arigidi-Okeagbe Road, just to mention a few.
It is also worthy to mention that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo donated buses to all the Primary Health Centres across the two local governments in the Federal Constituency, donated buses to the traditional councils, facilitated several appointments to the Federal Civil Service for qualified young graduates, provided electricity transformers to many communities, awarded bursaries and scholarships to students, and provided numerous other community and humanitarian services. These myriad achievements have given our amiable star boy, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, not only a resounding victory in his second-term election but have equally showcased his level of acceptance as the Rep member with the highest winning votes in Nigeria.
As a minister, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, with his usual transformative vision and his unquenchable passion to always serve his people, has reformed and transformed the Ministry of Interior, especially the Passport Office, to the admiration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. President Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle makes it clear that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo will not only make the list but also retain his position in the ministry due to his outstanding performance over the years.
Having enumerated the achievements and performance of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in public service, it should be clear to all discerning minds that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is God-sent as a torchbearer to lead our people to prosperity and a Cape of Good Hope in the present dispensation.
It is important and timely that the good people of Akoko land rally around this uncommon goal-getter, an astute administrator, a renowned lawmaker, a Democrat of no mean repute, and a serial groundbreaker, as he takes us to the promised land.
Once again, I want to say, "He's a silent achiever." OLUBUNMI TUNJI-OJO IS AN UNDISPUTABLE LEADER OF OUR TIME.
