ADESOLA OLUSADE APPEALS TO NIGERIAN YOUTH, SAYS PROTEST IS NOT THE WAY FORWARD

Former FCT Permanent Secretary Adesola Olusade, on Saturday, August 4, 2024, appealed to youths across Ondo State and Nigeria at large, irrespective of party affiliation, to prioritize national unity over unrest.

Olusade made the appeal during an interactive session with some youth groups regarding the proposed nationwide protest, saying that national unity is above political or personal interest.

He further urged youths and other political pressure groups in the state to shelve the planned protest and support the good policies and programs of President Bola Tinubu for the overall development of Nigeria.

Adesola Olusade emphasized the need for Nigerians to support the President’s efforts towards building a better country for all, adding that citizens must put national stability above everything else.

Olusade stated he would continue consulting various youth groups in the state and across Nigeria on the importance of not participating in the planned protest.

While commending well-meaning Nigerians for their sustained enlightenment on the need for national unity among diverse religious, ethnic, and political groups, he also praised the Ondo State Government and the leadership of major political parties in the state for distancing themselves from the planned protest.

Adesola Olusade also used the opportunity to call on security agencies in the state and the country as a whole to ensure the protection of lives and properties of the citizenry at all levels.
