Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in Idanre, the Director-General of the group, Comrade Thalis Apalowo, said the mobilisation strategy is anchored on direct, face-to-face engagement with voters across communities, rather than relying on online platforms. He stressed that electoral success is determined at polling units physically located within communities, noting that the group’s strategy is designed to reach voters where they live.
Apalowo said the alliance believes the current administration’s policy direction and development agenda under the Renewed Hope framework should be sustained, citing key initiatives such as student loan schemes aimed at expanding access to tertiary education and major infrastructure projects including the Akure–Ore road corridor as evidence of ongoing development efforts. He also referenced broader reforms in governance and youth-focused interventions as part of what the group described as a “foundation for long-term national growth.”
He explained that the group has already established a structured political network extending from the state level down to wards and polling units, adding that coordinators have been mandated to intensify mobilisation efforts across all communities. According to him, the objective is to ensure broad-based participation and consolidate grassroots support ahead of the elections.
While expressing optimism about the group’s capacity to influence voter turnout in favour of the president, Apalowo also acknowledged concerns raised by youths regarding unemployment and infrastructure deficits. He said these issues remain central to the group’s engagements with communities, even as it continues to mobilise support for the administration.
The Idanre Local Government Youth Coordinator, Omolengan Adeniran, commended federal government efforts and the role of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in strengthening governance delivery. However, he urged more urgent attention to job creation, noting that unemployment remains one of the most pressing challenges facing young people in the region. He also highlighted poor road infrastructure and declining market activities as factors affecting local economic conditions.
In Odigbo Local Government Area, coordinator Olusola Johnbosco expressed confidence that the area would deliver substantial votes for the president, describing ongoing mobilisation efforts as strong and well-coordinated. Similarly, the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo coordinator, Jimoh Owolabi, praised the administration’s development initiatives and reaffirmed local commitment to the campaign.
In Ifedore Local Government, the coordinator Abimbola Sandra Adanlawo said the mobilisation drive also seeks to sensitise young people on government programmes and available opportunities. She disclosed that the group has introduced empowerment-oriented initiatives, including plans for a bursary scheme for students, a food support programme for tertiary institution students, and vocational and ICT training schemes aimed at improving employability and reducing youth unemployment.
The alliance said its mobilisation structure is designed to operate across all polling units in Ondo State, with continued expansion planned in the coming weeks. It added that sustained engagement at the grassroots level remains central to its strategy of building voter awareness, strengthening political participation, and consolidating support for the re-election campaign.
