A political mobilisation rally is gaining momentum in Ondo State as non-indigenes residing in the state prepare to publicly express their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The rally, scheduled for March 10, 2026, is expected to draw participants from across several political platforms, including the PDP, Labour Party, Accord, and other groups that have expressed a shared interest in national development and political stability.
Speaking on behalf of the group in an interview with The Spotlight, Hon. Mrs. Uzor Fidelis Eteng described the initiative as a demonstration of confidence in the leadership of Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior.
She said the group’s endorsement of the President’s re-election is driven by what members described as the minister’s far-reaching impact in public service, his community-oriented leadership approach, and his efforts toward strengthening grassroots engagement across diverse communities.
Mrs. Eteng further noted that the minister’s initiatives through the Progressives Network for Tinubu have helped promote unity among non-indigenes in Ondo State while encouraging broader political participation and developmental advocacy.
In his remarks, the Director General of the Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT), Pastor Olumide Obadele, stated that the rally is not intended merely as a political gathering but as a platform to demonstrate support for policy continuity and sustainable national development.
According to him, the mobilisation is also aimed at promoting inclusive governance, national cohesion, and sustained policy advocacy ahead of the 2027 general election.
The event will hold at First Molac Hotel, with participants expected to begin gathering by 10:00 a.m. The organisers also noted that the gathering is expected to draw participants from across the length and breadth of Ondo State.
