Press Statement: Hon. Festus Aregbesola Urges Nationwide Participation in APC e-Registration Exercise

Hon. Festus Aregbesola, All Progressives Congress aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Akure South Constituency 1, and the APC Chairman for Ondo Central Senatorial District has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to actively participate in the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise being conducted by the party.

In a statement issued in Akure on Saturday 3rd January, 2025 and made available to the press, Aregbesola described the e-registration initiative as a vital step toward strengthening internal democracy, enhancing transparency, and building a credible and updated party membership database.

He noted that the exercise provides an opportunity for both existing and new members to formally validate their membership status, stressing that possession of a valid APC membership card obtained through the e-registration process is mandatory for participation in party activities, including congresses and primaries.

The APC chieftain urged party members to visit their respective Local Government Secretariats or liaise with their Ward Chairmen to receive proper guidance and ensure successful data capture by APC-appointed enumerators.

According to him, a well-coordinated and inclusive registration process will further consolidate the party’s grassroots strength and promote greater unity and participation across all levels of the party structure.

He encouraged party leaders and stakeholders at the ward and polling unit levels to mobilise members and ensure widespread awareness of the exercise, noting that active participation is essential to building a stronger, more organised, and people-driven party.

Hon. Aregbesola reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots engagement, internal democracy, and the progressive values of the APC, calling on all members to embrace the e-registration exercise as a collective responsibility toward the growth and future success of the party.
