The event, which drew political stakeholders, party leaders, and supporters from across the state, marked the official establishment of PNT’s local government framework aimed at mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Addressing attendees, the Director General of PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele, emphasized the organization’s commitment to consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda and deepening the progressive movement across the state. He reaffirmed that PNT’s focus remains solely on ensuring the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 through strategic engagement, public enlightenment, and grassroots mobilization.
He commended the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his continuous support and leadership within the progressive fold, describing him as an inspiration to young politicians and a unifying figure in Ondo State politics.
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Fatai Atere, Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akoko North-West Constituency I, praised President Tinubu’s leadership style and performance since assuming office. He noted that the President has demonstrated capacity, courage, and a clear vision for national transformation.
Atere also lauded Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s role in maintaining political stability in the state and acknowledged his impressive achievements in the Ministry of Interior, which he described as a source of pride for the people of Ondo State.
Similarly, Otunba Agboola Kelly, Secretary of the Elders’ Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, commended Dr. Tunji-Ojo for his dedication and service, describing him as a leader whose efforts continue to reflect positively on the state and the nation.
In a show of solidarity, Comrade (Prince) Adetokunbo Adegoroye, former gubernatorial candidate and Coordinator of the Tinubu Emancipation Action Movement, announced the merger of his movement with PNT. He cited shared values, unity of purpose, and visionary leadership as the driving forces behind the alliance.
The inauguration featured goodwill messages from political leaders, party elders, and representatives of various support groups, all expressing commitment to the re-election of President Tinubu and the advancement of his development agenda.
Among those present were Comrade Alfred Akinuli (Deputy Director General, PNT), Comrade S.A. Ogedengbe (Secretary, PNT), Hon. Collins Ajayi Victor Olusuyi (Spokesperson, PNT), Comrade (Mrs.) Usor Eteng (Coordinator, Non-Indigenes), and Hon. (Mrs.) Olukemi Akinnagbe Peters (PNT Woman Leader), among others.
The ceremony ended with a renewed sense of purpose and unity as members of the Progressives Network for Tinubu pledged continued dedication to the President’s vision for continuity, stability, and national prosperity ahead of the 2027 elections.
