Governor Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after polling 366,781 votes, defeating Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered 117,845 votes.
The APC secured an outstanding victory in Prince Momoh's unit at Olukare Palace, polling 267 votes to the PDP's 6 votes. Similarly, in Akoko North East Local Government, the APC achieved a significant win with 25,657 votes, while the PDP obtained 5,072 votes.
