The Chairman Transition committee of Akoko North East Local Government of Ondo State, Hon. Mohammed Mutiu Olawale has today, the 20th of November, 2024 commissioned the construction of two boreholes in Igbede and okegbe quarters respectively, Ikare, Akoko North East Local Government.
This project as facilitated by the Honorable chairman through the Federal Ministry of Environment, is a direct response to the community's plea for access to clean water. And it's aimed at providing a reliable source of clean water and alleviating the community's water scarcity challenges.
In the same vein, this initiative demonstrates Hon. Mohammed Mutiu Olawale's unravel commitment to addressing critical needs and ensuring a better quality of life for the people of the Local Government.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to Hon Mohammed Mutiu Olawale for his kind gesture, which will undoubtedly transform lives. "We are deeply thankful to Hon. Mohammed Mutiu Olawale for listening to our yearning and taking actions. This borehole construction will bring relief and hope to our people. We celebrate this milestone and this has brought joy and improved the living condition of the people of the Local Government", said a community leader.
The Hon. Chairman took the opportunity of the official commissioning of the project to thank the good people of Akoko North East Local Government for voting overwhelmingly for H.E Gov Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the just concluded governorship election and also promised to continue to facilitate more life changing projects to the Local Government.
