RE: NOVEMBER 16TH ONDO GUBER ELECTION - HON. OLUGBENGA ARAOYINBO NOT THE CAMPAIGN DG FOR AKOKO NORTH WEST.

Our attention has just been drawn to a press release purportedly issued by an unknown author that one Mr Olumide Araoyinbo has been appointed as the new DG for Campaign Council for Akoko North West in a meeting held on the  .... of November 2024 at a venue: Olaniyi Hotel,Arigidi Akoko.

Although, we have nothing against this as we believe that this will ordinarily enhance and enlarge the participation of our party  members in the campaign team of Gov. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa in Akoko North West.

To set the records straight,the state Campaign Council of Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation appointed Alh. Rasheed Badmus to oversee Akoko North Federal Constituency as the Director General of Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation while Hon.Elli Azeez was equally appointed as the Director General of Akoko North West. Also some other notable leaders from the local government were appointed to head various departments and committees in the Campaign Council. All of whom have been functioning well in their respective duties.

As earlier mentioned, we have nothing against any group of individuals coming together to expand the scope of the campaign, but it is believed that the constituting of another group with equal functions could have been done with the known or in conjunction with the main Campaign Council either from the state or in the local government, so as not to create unnecessary duplicity and thereby bring confusion.

Looking at the names of the people therein among the attendees of the so called meeting, one could see some notable and respected leaders of our party who has done extremely well both in private and public life. Also, among the names are some identified political rebels who trade in stock are to create confusion and disorderliness.

While we see this development  ordinarily as a no issue from the onset, as the State Campaign Council knows the original and the authentic campaign structure of Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in Akoko North West, it is also very important, to notify the public, especially our party members in the local government that Alh. Rasheed Badmus and Hon. Elli Azeez remains our authentic, legitimate and the state approved Director General for Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation at the Federal Constituency level and the Local Government respectively.

We are therefore using this medium to inform our party leaders and members from Akoko North West that in transacting any party business regarding the campaign for Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa before and during the election, Alh. Rasheed Badmus, The Director General of Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation in Akoko North Federal Constituency and Hon. Elli Azeez, the Director General Akoko North West still hold the ace.

However,we enjoined the good people of Akoko North West local government to continue with their work and support for the approved and appointed  Campaign Committee by his Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

We want to appreciate all our leaders for their supports for this project.
